You probably noticed the site has been down for several days. Last friday the server started acting really funny (read: it locked up ever couple hours). So saturday I went to look at it and couldn't even get it to boot. I narrowed it down to it being the motherboard and I decided that that server was cursed and instead of buying new parts to fix it, I'd be better off just buying a whole new server. So that's what I did. I'm going to be setting up an area to donate money for those that are willing to help offset the financial hit I took to get this new server. I know Melissa and I dontated money for something awhile back, what was if for again? that was for when I bought the original server so I could do dedicated hosting instead of shared hosting which was giving the site alot of problems like going down semi-frequently, being slow, etc. It was a big improvement to the forums back then but I swear, that thing is cursed now. Hopefully this new one will be trouble free. |
